Thanks Sasher! I wasn't sure where to post the news. It is a great feeling, but hasn't quite sunk in yet. The new PCCs we submitted gave us an additional few weeks to validate, up to the date our meds were finalised. Good luck for everyone still waiting. It will happen! :whome:

 Congratulations with the visa!!! You have to splash it out all over the screens and not be so coy about it hey! We like the "Got it/visa granted" posts! Enjoy this last bit and all the arrangements!

Thanks so much Vlooi and Eva. :whome::lol::lol: Can't really work today!

Vlooi, really holding thumbs for you. I am sure you will hear soon, otherwise perhaps try a friendly phone call in the near future.

Also thinking of Heather and Terence, hope you hear soon.

I can believe that you are not in a working-mode today! :whome:

Thanks Nazba, I constantly have to fight off the paranoia... We have an agent, so we can not phone ourselves and the agent says it is just a matter of time and he is not the type who chases after DIAC...

Also thinking of Heather and Terence, and Tex who is a Dec applicant; there are 2 other Dec applicants as well with CO's, but they might just not have updated the timeline yet as it has been some time since I've seen posts from them.

Vlooi,

I am one of the 176 December 2007 applicants with a CO. The latest from my side is DIAC requested a follow up report from the panel doctor for one member of our family of 4 (Other 3 have medicals finalized). The report is being compiled and will be sent to DIAC next week. So we are holding thumbs  for a PR Visa grant pretty soon.

Also of course holding thumbs :ilikeit::ilikeit::ilikeit: for all those others waiting patiently, OH!! I've run out of thumbs.:lol::lol::lol:

I'm speechless! I really don't understand what is going on with their system! But, as I've said before, I get the idea they now spend more time on applications from (in their point of view) fraudulent countries. I think it slows down the overall processing times. Luckily we can see from the Visa Grants here that they trust our South Africans :whome:

"Groundhog day".... heard so much about the movie, but I've never seen it!

I know I have been a bit of a snooper - or whatever you call people that read these forums and never post, but I must admit, the waiting has really been gettting me down. We submitted our final applications (475)through our agents to DIAC in mid July and I know a lot of people have been waiting longer, but I am really struggling to keep it together. I avoided SAAustralia froums for a while because I would get so depressed. The only thing that keeps me going is the fact that there is a very good chance I will get an offer of a 457 by March. I don't think I could actually wait for the 475 without going completely insane. I know I am moaning, but this is such an emotional rollercoaster - I am battling to keep focused at work, I have told them my last day will be te 27th February and am training my replacement. We have sold our house, boxed everything and are basically ready to go. It feels like I am living in limbo. I wish I drank alcohol? Maybe I should start? Is 07h30 too early for a drink? :ilikeit:

Shame Tennantrodney,

It really is a rough ride, immigrating is so hard, you wait for the visa, then you get it, all of a sudden you have nothing to focus on, then reality hits you and it is time to sort the house, pack the container, then that is done and you get on the aeroplane and everything is done, and you don't know what to do with yourself.

You land in Australia, life is good, you look back and wonder what all the stressing was about, it becomes a distant memory.

Good luck, be strong, you will get here, Jill
