planningahead Posted January 13, 2017 Report Share Posted January 13, 2017 Thank you everyone. I was convinced you would all get your visas before we did as we only responded to the CO last week. I'm sure your visas will come through soon as I was keeping an eye on myimmitracker and there's a trend of grants issues this week to applicants who responded to their COs within the first week of December 2016. @FingersCrossed, I also don't know how they do it. I was convinced that they work on the response date and not the CO request date. I was thinking of how we could help other forumites in future and want to suggest that we include points, visa type and primary occupation in the table. What do you think? For us it is a 190; 60 points (including SS); engineering technologist. I hope this would give people benchmarks going forward. I personally find stats helpful. I am so over the moon - I am so happy that my step son and step daughter also got in - they cannot wait to start a new life in Australia. I am telling my family tonight as a surprise when I get home - they are going to hit the roof - we will then call our family in Australia and tell them. The family went crazy - my wife was crying as she can now move closer to her mom and brothers. It has been a extremely long and stressful journey however now that we have the grant in our hands, all the admin work that I went through for the past year and a half has been worth it. Now we need to sell everything and get over there - and I know it will be a stressful couple of months while all that happens - however I still cannot stop smiling at what is ahead for us. For everyone waiting, dont loose hope - it takes time and I fully understand the frustration that you are feeling - however when you get that grant email you will jump for joy. For those of you who are only starting the process - dont be afraid to ask questions here on the forum. No question is a stupid question and it will make the process easier for you when you have guidance from people who have been through this. We have been preparing to go on an 8 month road trip around Southern Africa and we leave on Friday so its been hectic! To @Addy31, @jjschnetler, @Chantel, @planningahead, @FingersCrossed and @fredk CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! So happy for you all on your grants! @jjschnetler you must be in Adelaide already? How is it going? We assigned our Agents to complete our PCCs for us and this was a mistake. They only dropped them off in Pretoria 10 days after I had our forms couriered to them. Then they told us its ready and it wasn't... It was a mess. If I had to do it again I would have done it myself. Oh well lesson learnt. We move forward. So all our docs were only submitted to the CO on the 7 Dec. Following that we heard nothing until yesterday. The CO requested a copy of my husbands VetAssess outcome. My agent said that they had uploaded it with all the docs originally but the CO has requested it again. After being frustrated and stressed over this whole matter I have just left it in God's hands, trusting Him. Worrying about it won't hurry it up. Things have been a bit hectic and seems to have calmed down now. @NickyvdYes we have been here for 8 very interesting days. Managed to sort out the bank, medicare, centrelink and driver licenses the first to days. Had my 4 interviews the last two days (received offers from all 4) and celebrated our first Aussie day today.
