I think you said you also want to leave quite soon. @Husky I have managed to secure another interview for when we land, so things are looking up

Ali1TB
Hi Everybody One way of doing it If you can is, before you lodge your visa, use the immi account to generate HAP IDs and do your medicals in advance. Then when you lodge your visa, it will a be full and complete application. That's what I did.

fredk
Hi all My 1st post ever on the forum. I am one of the "silent assassins" - I've read hundreds of posts without ever commenting. This particular topic has been of interest since I am also in the same time frame, and thought I'd just let you know of my dates: Lodged: 13 Oct 2016 CO requested more info (medical, PCC): 3 Nov 2016 Medicals: 3 Nov 2016 Final response to CO: 8 Nov 2016 Visa grant: 15 Dec 2016 Not planning the move anytime soon though, but good to know the ball is in my court. But shouldn't the date be stated somewhere in the visa.

That i cannot answer, maybe someone wiser could assist :-) But that is just date of first entry(to validate VISA) that I was referring to. If I understand correctly, you do have more time to make the final move once this is done. Edited December 22, 2016 by RussellJ
fredk
I need to enter 1st time before 15 Oct 2017 - that is the earliest of when your PCCs / medicals "expire" as far as I know. My last date of entry is 15 December 2021.

jjschnetler
Just on the first entry date, ours is on the 13th of November 2017. So effectively on our medicals date, our PCC date is the 5th of September. So not really sure how they take it, seems to be on the medicals date.

planningahead
Happy new year to you all! @Chantel, I'm sure you had the best Christmas/holiday ever We went for our medicals this morning at Hatmed in Pretoria- it took an hour for the two of us. Very friendly and efficient staff. The doctor told me that they saw twice as many emigration patients in 2016 compared to 2015.... Was pretty interesting and not really surprising considering all that went on in local politics in 2015/2016... Now we are waiting for our medicals to be finalised- hopefully it doesn't take longer than 3 work days!

planningahead
Our medical statuses changed to "Health clearance provided - no action reuired". I'm really happy that they finalised it so quickly considering we only went yesterday... Just one question, does this status mean our medicals are 100% OK and that we won't get any surprises? If there was some sort of issue would the status have been different?
wonderer
I believe so - that's what ours said and our visas has been granted
