Hi all,

Please I need all the faith and prayers I can get at this moment.

As you by now know we are on our way to Australia, well only end of November 2008 but time flies so quickly it feels like it will be tomorrow.

2 weeks ago I visited my sister in Hermanus to take one of our dogs to her, this would be the last time I see her and her family for a very long long time. She was fine and had no problems before this happened.

This morning her husband phoned to tell me she is in hospital, when she woke up this morning it looked like she had a stroke. She is totally paralysed on the left side. They rushed her to the doctors who immediatelly took her up in hospital (ICU).

She has 2 tumours on her brain of which one is causing the paralysis and the other is bleeding. She is awake at this stage but still paralysed and under heavy sedation, they are also trying to stop the bleeding and get the swelling down.

All the tests done has been sent to a specialist in Cape Town for a second opinion, the specialist in Hermanus says he can not operate it would be too dangerous and the cancer is too far along. He says she can go into a coma at any given time or she could be gone in anything from 1 day to when ever.

She has no idea what is wrong with her at this point in time as they dont want to upset her, causing further problems.

Please please please I need all the prayers and faith I can get, if this is as serious as they say I know chances of her healing is very slim but I know that what ever happens will happen for a reason.

Her daughter is busy with her final prelim exams, they dont have a medical aid but fortunatelly her father in law is financially strong enough to help give her the best medical attention she needs at this point in time.

Thank you in advance

Rene and family

Groete

Hi Rene,

Sorry for the late response but I have been away for a while and have only seen your request now:

Can we as Christians pray for you together now, we believe that If one or more pray in His name it will strengthen us.

Dear God,

We pray for Rene's sister at this time. Where she does not know what is wrong with her and where the doctors are looking at the worst we pray that you will hold her hand during this time.

We pray for strength for the immediate family, we are thinking about her husband, her chidlren, her siblings and her parents. We pray that you will console them during this time. We know that you are the only hope in our lives and that you alone can give and take life. We pray that we will accept what ever happens but we ask that you will be with the family through this difficult time and wrap your love around them.

We pray for her daughter where she is writing exams. Be with her so that she will still give her best at the exams no matter what the circumstances.

Lord, we trust you with our lives and with our loved ones and would like to say: Let your will be done, even if we don't understand it sometimes, or even if it is very painful to us.

Lord we pray for the forgiveness of all of our sins and ask you to protect us and our loved ones.

In Jesus's Name

Amen
