Monica25
Hi, We are trying to work out if we can get our RA out of SA without formally emigrating, before you turn 55. Has anyone managed this? If you have to formally emigrate has anyone done this without paying an agent to do it? Thanks
ChrisH
You have to financially emigrate, meaning you will deregister from SARS and the reserve bank will block all your accounts.
niro
@Monica, We are going to use our bank (Nedbank) to assist. They are charging R3000 which is far cheaper than what the agents quoted us. And R35 per month for the block rand account. I have attached the checklist and other forms that they need us to fill. We want to move all of our money out of the country first before we start this process. I also want to finalise my last IRP5, before I get a tax clearance. So we will do this in Jan 2017, just before we leave. I have made my RA "paid up" in the mean time as well. Hope this helps EMIG CHECKLIST 2016.doc EMIGRANTS CONTACT INFORMATION.docx EMIGRATION PROCESS (1).doc Indemnity.docx 2014.docx Nedbank Non.docx powerattorneyoutwardpaymenttransactionsned.dot
