UnsureGC Posted September 21, 2016 Report Share Posted September 21, 2016 Hi Everyone, So hubby has officially receive his offer and we are off to Melbourne... a city I know little to nothing about!! LOL... I am a planner so this does freak me out somewhat. Luckily, the company is flying our little family out in mid November for a few weeks, sending us home again for Christmas and back in January. This suits me right down to the ground as I get 4-5 weeks in Nov/Dec to check things out, arrange a rental, sort out schools etc. So, to all your Melbourners... please help me with where to look for short term furnished rentals - we are a family of 4 (kids are 3 and 6). We will be looking in the East... hubby's office is in Moorrabin so something relatively close to this but doesn't need to be on the doorstep. Guest Posted September 22, 2016 Report Share Posted September 22, 2016 Hi unsure, Unfortunately there are not many options when it comes to short term accommodation in Melbourne, other than air bnb. I know if you look on the thread under Melbourne Mara has composed an extensive list for Melbourne including accommodation that may help you. They are all fairly expensive though as you say. We stayed with friends for 2 weeks until we found our rental and this was a huge help. Enjoy Melbourne it is a really vibrant City. You are going to love it. ?
