Another correction - it's actually "Melburnians"... it annoys the hell out of me, because if you ask me, Melburnians is not a word, but apparently that's the term that Melbourne dwellers use for themselves.

It could be worse, we could have been "Novacastrians" from Newcastle...

Enjoy everyone! Wish we could make it :)

According to the immigration lawyer our 457s should be approved within the next week or two, so we will be at the next one, that's for sure.

Our ETA at this stage of the race seems to be mid or end Nov due to hubby's work requirements here - I would have loved to fly out end October though........ tired of living in limbo now.

Lysterfield Lake Park is awesome.

I remember last year’s event – it was on the 12th October we had full intentions of going and then unexpectedly whilst you were all chooning what-what and braaing your boerie rolls our baby was being born, so we missed it. :D

This year we plan to make it... however I’m running my first 10km in the morning in Melbourne so I could be a bit useless by the time the afternoon swings round. I’ll be the one sitting in the lake unable to move, if you see me, please toss me a beer or something... :ilikeit:

This time you will be running around after the "almost" one year old... Hope to see you there Hansa.
