Good Witch
All South Africans have a right to their own political opinions and the right to live their lives as they see fit. Voting for a particular administration does not mean that someone has to live in that country or that they are not allowed to express some disillusionment. Educated people all over the world are mobile and can live where they chose - this does not invalidate their political opinion.Apartheid was dead - even the NATS recognised that. A new political dispensation was needed in SA. The ANC took on a huge challenge - from a very protected, police state the move to a democratic, free state was NEVER going to be without challenges. Those who vote/ voted ANC did not betray South Africans - those who voted in the NATS and kept them in power, did.IMHOThere comes a time for accountability. Where is Breytenbach's (and other ANC supporters) accountability for contributing towards empowering the ANC? Where is the ANC's accountability towards the people of this land? Bloodshed is the order of the day. Everything is blamed on apartheid... even the sins of the ANC. Responsibility for the creation of this monster is the last thing that Breytenbach OR the ANC are willing to take... I find it interesting that people who still avidly support the ANC - despite the vicious crime, the collapse of the education, health and legal systems and so much more - are even considering emigrating..! Not surprised mind-you, just interested... It is inevitable that the monster will turn around and bite the very hand that feeds it, as the psychotic nature of the crime unleashed upon this nation knows no loyalty or boundaries... It does not care who you voted for - as Breytenbach and his loved ones have discovered.
