Olly Posted September 4, 2006 Report Share Posted September 4, 2006 www.immi.gov.au/living-in-australia/settle-in-australia gives you a check list for when you arrive. We also got a list from the bank when we activated our account with contact details for applying for our tax file number (you can also do that online), medicare (if you have PR), Centrelink ( to apply for rent assistance and child benefit), Department of Transport Licensing Services (for your drivers licence), Transperth (info line for train, bus and ferry services).
