Milada (Ms Maritz)
Welcome! It is quite an interesting and exciting time when you have to get everything ready! We've started in November 2007, so we are also still gathering all the documentation! There is an excellent step-by-step procedure on this forumhttp://www.saaustralia.org/index.php?showtopic=9251For me the first step is to book for IELTS (if needed), because it seems to me they are quite fully booked.http://www.britishcouncil.org/learning-ielts.htmAlso apply for unabridged documents, as it takes a while....http://www.saaustralia.org/index.php?showtopic=9009Then you have to get your skills assessed. For engineers it goes quite quickly. See this topic for more information:http://www.saaustralia.org/index.php?act=ST&f=42&t=9545Shout if you need any help.. Fred
Hi,We applied for all the relevant paperwork at foreign affairs. So now the waiting starts. We also booked our IELTS. They are fully booked and I've been struggling to get hold of them the last few days to confirm the exam booking. For our skills it is easy to get my husbands assessed. It is mine that we are not to sure about. I'm a psychometrist and for some reason I'm not finding the word psychometrist. Only psychologist - which I'm not qualified for. So where do I start the search for my skills?Welcome! It is quite an interesting and exciting time when you have to get everything ready!
