cara Posted December 29, 2007 Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 Hi JJWe are from Hartbeespoort lived in Zilkaats nek for 35 years!We moved to PE in Sept 2006.Still miss the bush and the quiet.Know of a lot of families from Brits Hpt area who went to Aus not sure where they are though.We will be going to Perth next year.Where are you from?Did you go to school in Brits or Hpt? According to them there is a lot of people out of that area in Australia, and also a butcher from that area that opened a butchery in Brisbane and is doing good with the business. JayJay Posted January 4, 2008 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2008 Hallo Almal,Ja, die internet maak die wereld klein.Ek het so baie name gehad - Johnny, Van, Garing (toe ek nog maer was - nou is ek 'n tou) en Johan (van Zyl). Ek is in Brits gebore, later in die Bosveld gevestig en was in die destydse Landbouskool. Vroulief, Mariana (Grobler) het ook skool gegaan op Brits.Al my familie bly nog steeds daar, my pa was Gert en my broer Dirk.Ons gaan vestig in die area net noord van Newcastle. Miskien ken ek nog 'n klomp van julle!
