Bob Posted November 19, 2007 Report Share Posted November 19, 2007 (edited) In the early 1980s, Australians had a referendum on which of three anthems they wanted to replace "God Save the Queen".It turned out to be "Advance Australia Fair".They mucked around with the original words to the old song so much that many Aussies thought it went . . . "Australians let us all ring Joyce,for she is young and free . . .
