Modem adapter

Hi there,

My computer modem is not working 100%, seems I have to buy a new one. Don't want to do that if the telephone plug is not the same as in Aus.

Please, could someone answer if that plastic thingy at the end of the modem cable is the same in Aus?

Thank you

Seeya

You get 2 different plugd in Oz but both the same as SA some plugs are the old style flat 3 prong things others are same as the plug in the back of your computer either way you can get adapters here so any plug would work.

Thanx Des for your answer. The electrical plug is probably the 3 prongs.

I was just wondering about the telephone plug. That very small seethrough plastic thing, is that the same as in RSA?

Is this what you mean?

If so you won't have a problem in Oz - those are very common. In a lot of houses you will encounter an older socket (called "610" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/610_%28telephone%29 ) but adapters are easy to find.
