Hi julle

Aberfoyle Park

Flagstaff Hill

Happy Valley

Hallet Cove

Dankie

Wilna :ilikeit:

Groete,

Dax

Annette has lived in Bellevue Heights for over a year now.

This is just down the road from Blackwood and across the main road is Eden Hills.

Travel time into the centre of Adelaide is about fifteen to twenty mins.

I suggest you PM her.

Thanx for this info Bob, wow it is difficult to choose.

On the internet all the areas and schools look perfect and will suit us fine!! Can I go eeny-meeny-miny-mo??

Hubby returned from Adelaide 2 weeks ago. He has only positive things to tell, but could not find the time to visit ALL suburbs.

It seems one must relocate by staying in a holiday facility at first and then drive around to make the choice.

But then to register the children in a school there, it must fall in the correct street address that the school allows.

How did other people do this part of relocating? (Wilna, I hope you do not mind me adding this question to your thread)

Groete Wilna :whome:

Wilna,

ek kan nie Afrikaans verstaan nie, but I put the jigsaw puzzle together when I read Afrikaans and get about half of it to make the big Picture up.

Sometimes I find I'm way off when answering people's questions if they've written Afrikaans, but there you go.

I was thinking . . . . the southern suburbs are nice in Adelaide, but don't dismiss the Adelaide hills for a good lifestyle.

Maybe the reason that loads and loads of Australians are shifting up into the Adelaide hills is that they know something . . . . like good access to Adelaide now that the South Eastern Freeway is built and the land prices are cheaper with loads of new housing estates and schools (especially private Christian schools) are going up.

My home town of Mount Barker, just 30 minutes now from the heart of Adelaide, has exploded with new department stores being built in the past five years here . . . K-Mart, Harvey Norman, Radio Rentals, Spotlight, Godfreys, Woolworths, Coles, Autobarn to name a few! . . . . and housing estates??

I can think of four new housing estates, each having about 50 houses in, that have mushroomed in Mount Barker in the past five years. . . . not bad for a little country town of only 6 000 people about a decade ago with 99% of the population being good old fashioned Australians.

Bob, thanks for trying to understand Afrikaans. My eng writing is terrible :) but I will try..... I do not know were the Adelaide Hills are, I have a map but it does not say "Adelaide Hills" anywhere.......Is it the part south and southeast of the city with all the conservation parks? Isn't housing a little expensive there?

Sien hier: http://www.visitadelaidehills.com.au/maps.asp

Die grys area is die Adelaide Hills. Dis baie mooi oral daar.

Seeya

Hi,

Good luck in the search for a house. The suburbs you have chosen are nice. When we first arrived here I was very keen to move to Craigburn Farm, Blackwood area. We are on our way to Sydney at the end of this month so I will be in the same boat as you!

If any of you are looking for a fantastic primary school, I can honestly say that Glen Osmond Primary, is brilliant. Better than any school I encountered in SA. This is in the Eastern side of Adelaide, though.

I can also vouch for Glen Osmond Primary! Reccommend it highly! ;)

Weereens dankie, sien julle oor so paar maande in Adelaide. ;)
