Madelein Posted October 31, 2007 Report Share Posted October 31, 2007 Hello BrisbanersEk is nou al vir 2 maande hier en geniet die warm weer verskriklik, maar ek het toe gedink dit sal nogal lekker wees as almal bymekaar kom vir 'n lekker braai. Sal lekker wees om die forumiete te ontmoet en lekker te kan chat. Sal ons besluit op 'n datum/tyd/plek voor Desember, is maar bietjie skrikkerig vir die warm weer wat oppad is (Canberra het my laat vries en die akklimatisering vat bietjie lank). I'm not in Brisbane, but we do come up to the city from time to time to visit friends so maybe we would be able to arrange something for that weekend. I think there are quite a few people on the forum in Brisbane itself so I'm sure there will be plenty of people interested. I'm glad you're enjoying it in QLD. The weather has been quite hot so it doesn't really get much worse than it is now, maybe just a bit more humid. It's not as bad as all that once you are used to it. LOL)So kom ons maak dit Sondag 25 November 07. Picnic hier aan die Noorde. Het 'n paar plekke in gedagte, sal gaan kyk en julle laat weet.Een is in Shorncliff langs die water met speel plek vir die kinders, maar geen swembad nie! Nog ene Nudgee beach, selfde as Shorncliff. Dit is stillerige parke so ons sal kan oor vat! (Will do a map closer to the time)There's a lovely big "lapa" with 4 tables and the benches and a double bbq right next to it. The play area for the kiddies are a few steps away, lots of parking and lots of place for us to take over!!So, to all of you Brisbanites and Gold/Sunshine Coast forumites..... PLEASE JOIN US!!!!!We'll be there from 9 o'clock Sunday morning 25 November. So it'll be brunch more than lunch. However nobody's gonna chase us away, so we can stay the whole day.It will be bring your own, what ever you wanna, BBQ, picnic, Sausage Sizzle etc. You might also want to bring a camping chair or two.C ya there!!
