Polyanna
Hi allI am going for my first Aussie job interview tomorrow. I was wondering if anyone has had to answer questions in the interview process on why they left RSA and emigrated to Aus and what their answers were?Kim Edited October 31, 2007 by Polyanna
Guest Bronwyn
Hi PollyI just said I wanted to experience life in Australia. Who wants to spend their whole life in the same place? That would be boring!
berndt
HalloDon't stress - there are many people from all over the world coming here. I went for quite a few interviews and I was not asked that question in one. Most people come to Australia in search of a better life - that is basically why most of us are here. If asked, rather answer positvely - you came because of a better future, adventure, opportunities - do not say negative things.Vasbyt !! it will work outCheersBerndt

Bob
If I know anything about country Queensland people, you'll fit the bill if you come across frankly and sincerely. They'll know if you are not sincere and honest.Just say you came for your kid's futures as well as your own. . . . . better opportunities, etc.

Polyanna
Hi allJust some feedback from my interview this morning:The interview went well and the question did come up as to why Australia. They also said that they are in the process of sponsoring two South African families who should be joining the company soon too.Found this interesting! Bob
Seems to me that the company doesn't have any qualms about taking on South Africans.I'd like to know whether the interview was successful or unsuccessful.Let us all know in time . . . . OK?
