Bekkie
Ek wil weet of iemand vir my 'n kontak nommer van 'n regsgeleerde kan gee,of raad asseblief! Dankie.Bekkie
SASydneysider
Hi Bekkie,You could contact Etienne Hugo. He is an ex SAfrican and is a migration lawyer in Sydney. He might not be able to assist, but could refer you to someone. Another option would be to contact Ptlabs or Fiona who are migration agents here in Sydney and I think Fiona is in Queensland. They might be able to recommend someone.SAS
Tracy
Hi Bekkie,Try not to go the legal route; it is expensive, takes time and causes bad feelings. My ex simply wrote what was titled "a letter of no objection" saying he had no objections to me bringing our daughter to Aus, and he had it notarised by solicitors in Dubai. At the 11th hour, my CO asked for a special form to be signed by him, but he was gadding around the USA and we couldn't get hold of him.The notarised letter turned out to be sufficient. They DO require some form of consent signed by both parents as they are very sticky about custody; they will not put themselves into a situation where one parent can accuse Immigration of anything.Rightly so, I reckon.Hope that helps.Tracy
