Butternut gekoop en wou dit braai met margarine, suiker en kaneel, die regte outydse boere manier. Maar toe ek die margarine byvoeg om dit te begin braai dryf daar sulke geel, olierige,ek weet nie wat nie, rond bo op die pampoen en dit wou nie oplos nie! Jig! Ek moes regtig die pampoen weg gooi want ek sou dit nie oor my lippe kry nie.Nou wonder ek net watter margarine gebruik julle? Of moet ek maar regte botter gebruik vir kook en bak? Op die oomblik gebruik ek Flora Margarine want ek het gedink dit gaan dieselfde proe as die in S.A. Ek het vanoggend gaan rondloer by die yskas deel in die supermark, daar is soveel margarines om van te kies, ek weet nie watter een is die beste nie. The worst is, I can't make it either!!!!!I don't like the taste of butter and prefer the Olive Oil margarines. The ones I've found to be the best are Olivio and Bertolli. I've also recently found at Aldi Supermarket, a canola margarine called Sunnyvale. Cut it into cubes, if the pumpkin is a bit old and hard, I cook it a little bit. If not, I just put it into a pot with some marg and sugar, braise till soft and all the marg gone. sprinkle some cinnamon on top, put into a serving dish and enjoy. I always make too much and then use the leftovers to make some pumpkin fritters. No wonder we had to join Weight watchers! No, I haven't seen Aldi supermarkets here, only IGA, Coles, Foodlands and Woolworths. I know there is a Dewsons in Perth, haven't seen them here in Adelaide.I will surely try the Olive Oil Margs, they sound OK to me, I use Bertlli olive oil.....thanks.Greetings.
