Louisa se bruismeelbroodjie – met variasies op die tema

Die basiese resep:

500ml karringmelk

500g bruismeel (“self rising”)

7ml sout

Meng die bestandele deeglik met 'n houtlepel. Bak in 'n gesmeerde, middelslag broodpan vir 60 minute by 180°C.

Mieliebroodjie

Basiese resep, maar net 250ml karringmelk in dié geval, plus:

2 geklitste eiers

410g blikkie geroomde suikermielies.

(Belangrik - “creamed”, “creamy” of “cream style (sweet) corn”, nie die heelmieliepitte of “whole kernel corn” nie)

Plaas in pannetjie en strooi 'n klompie gerasperde cheddar-kaas bo-op.

Uiebroodjie

Basiese resep, plus:

2 pakkies (4 porsies) dik, wit uiesoppoeier

100g (250ml) gerasperde kaas by die deeg

Onthou om die gebruikte (nog nie skoongemaakte) pannetjie te los waar die gaste dit kan sien, anders twyfel hulle dalk of jy dit self gebak het. :whome::ilikeit:
