DesertDaisy
Ladies, I need a recommendation for a gynae in Perth, preferably North of the River. I had a partial molar pregnancy a couple of years ago (non-malignant fortunately), and am required to go for an annual check-up, including an ultrasound to make sure the "mole" hasn't regrown. I'm due for a check up, but don't know any gynae's. I'm not fussy about men or women docs (in fact, I've had better treatment from my male doctors than females), and nor am I fussy about whether they are South African. I just need someone who is thorough, and not too expensive (we are on private health, no Medicare benefits).I had a great gynae in South Africa, he was old-fashioned in many ways, but always thorough and up to date in his knowledge and always polite/respectful, but at the same time knew how to make you relax with an appropriate joke. Yvonne
Sorry, haven't been to a gynae here. Ask Lindy-Lee or Michelle as they both live North of the river and have had or are having babies and may know the gyneas.

Michelle
My Dr is dr Catherine Harris. Her office is next to Glengarry hospital in Duncraig. I really like her as she always seems calm and collected and she is kind. Her number is 92433500.

Another friend of mine was also with her and was very happy with her
DesertDaisy
Oh thats great, thanks ladies. I stay 5 mins away from Glengarry Hospital, so both are easy to find!Did you also need a referral letter for Dr Harris? Its so annoying, having to fork out for a GP's visit just to go see another doctor. Lindy-Lee
Did you also need a referral letter for Dr Harris?I would think that you do...most specialists do require one. I found out last week that your referal letter is only valid for a year as well. So I had to get a new referal as well.
Michelle
Yes I needed a referral. I don't think any specialist will see you without one
