My man het al werk in Newcastle.* Is daar enige iemand op die Forum wat in Newcastle woon?* Hoe is die winters in daardie omgewing?* Sal ek my kinders se karstoeltjies kan saambring of moet ek eerder maar daar nuwes koop? Christine (2jr & 4mnde) het 'n Safeway Executive Car Seat, en Stefan (5 jaar oud) het 'n Chelino Booster Seat.* Is daar gemeubileerde huise wat mens kan huur vir ±3-4 maande?Ek het nog vele ander vrae, maar sal maar later vra. Daar is redelik Suid Afrikaners in Newcastle, want dit is 'n lekker alternatief tot Sydney : naby genoeg aan die "action", sonder die "price tag" en verkeersknope! Van hulle werk selfs in Sydney en "commute" elke dag! Die winters hier is regtig aangenaam. Die somers is vir my warmer as wat ek in RSA gewoond was, en die winters min of meer dieselfde - eintlik effens meer gematig. Ek het 'n kas vol jasse wat ek nog nooit nodig gehad het om hier te dra nie (ons is in Sydney - hoe meer Noord jy gaan, hoe warmer). Aangesien julle in die winter hier aanland, sal ek voorstel julle bring ten minste een lekker dik baadjie saam & 'n paar "sweaters", goed soos jeans, toe skoene ens. Party mense dra musse en handskoene in die winter - veral vroeg oggend kan dit nogal koud wees, so bring dalk 1 paar vir elkeen. (As mens in die geboue is, is dit OK - dit is net as mens buite is, wat mens koud kry, so hou dit in gedagte wanneer jy inpak).Jong, gemeubileerde huise is so skaars soos hoendertande, maar gaan kyk op www.realestate.com.au of www.domain.com.au Meeste mense huur 'n huis en "kamp" daarin tot hulle goedjies opdaag. As jy hier op die forum vir hulp vra, is ek seker daar sal 'n paar RSA-ners wees wat jou sal kan uithelp met die basiese goed - ons help mekaar maar waar ons kan. (Weet net nie of hier iemand op die forum is wat in Newcaslte bly nie....)Wat die karstoeltjies betref: dit moet die tipe wees wat in jou kar kan vasbout met skroewe. Mens kan hier ook karstoeltjies huur. (Sal net weer gaan kyk wat daai plek se naam is en dit vir jou "post".Hou in gedagte dat dit nou Paasnaweek is, en die skole sluit ook vandag, so jy sal dalk nie so vinnig en so baie reaksie kry op jou vraag as normaalweg nie, maar moenie opgee nie, hier is baie wat wil en sal help! "Post" al jou vrae soos jy daaraan dink en ons sal ons bes probeer. Ek sal ook bietjie uitvind oor huise te huur (gemeudileerd) en jou laat weet wat ek kon uitrig vir jou. Sterkte hoor!
