I note that there is an initial entry date on the visa but I have heard conflicting reports that this is no longer enforced on the 189 Visa. Is anyone able to shed some light on this? Do you need to notify Immigration if you are not going to make it before the specified date? Do you need a valid reason as to why you cannot enter before this date?
