DieSkim Posted June 27, 2007 Author Report Share Posted June 27, 2007 Just some brief feedback. We ended up using Hertz and Thrifty for the 2 seperate days that we required a car. Most seem to cost in the region of $50 pd but note - this EXCLUDES additional insurance. Normal cover can leave you with $2000 + excess !!! It cost an additional $25 - $34 pd to reduce this to a more moderate number...we did not really wanted to take a chance (and saw 2 accidents in our 2 days...they happen there as well). Bayswater only rented cars for 3d and longer (not sure why)...but really cheap if you wanted a "longer" term rental (week and more) plus they seem to have an $8 pd insurance cover thing.(PS. for those that did not get it (like me) the NO BIRDS is printed on the doors of all their cars...still not sure what it means).
