Hi Chris Within the skilled visas there is the Subclass 491 'Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa' - which for a variety of (not all) occupations can be sponsored by an eligible relative. I assume that is within the wider Brisbane metropolitan area which would not be included as a 'Designated area' bad luck. Might they try QLD state sponsorship potentially as and when things open ?
