R & E
Hi RiekieBaie dankie, ek weet dit sal my vrou se hart bly maak. Riaan Edited June 5, 2007 by R & E
Bob
Rugby League (13 man teams) are shown on free-to-air TV in New South Wales (Sydney, Newcastle, etc.) and Queensland (Brisbane, Gold Coast, Cairns, etc.)Australian Rules is played in the other States of Australia, although you can watch Rugby League on Channel 9 late on Friday nights, and Sunday nights.Rugby League is a break-away from Union in the 1890s.Twenty rugby clubs in the industrial north of England got told to stop paying their players, so they broke away and formed their own "league." This form of rugby also became the main rugby code of N.S.W. and Q'ld in the early C20th and has remained so to this day.In 1907, a few rule changes developed to keep the ball more in play during the game, but is still easily followed by anyone familiar with Union.Check it out some time. You never know . . . . you may come to like it?
