ScotSobey
Hi there, I am emigrating to Sydney soon and wanted to get advice on what is required to convert my RSA motorcycle license into a NSW license. I understand that I can use my RSA license for 3 months following which I am required to convert. Is the conversion process simply a matter of walking in with you South African license and doing the paperwork to convert same into a NSW license, or is it more a matter of taking a written as well as practical test...? Thanks Scot
Yuvi
Hi @ScotSobey, its a matter of just walking into the NSW Services department and get both your drivers and riders license converted. Its one process and as like SA on one card. You will need a letter though from SA confirming your license. Send an email to CTC@rtmc.co.za with your ID number, date of birth and drivers license number, and ask them for confirmation that your license is valid. They will then issue an official letter confirming your drivers license.
