Passport

Hi fellow forum members, our daughter was born this year in Australia. We are planning a trip to SA in December. The rest of the family is on SA passports, she is not.

Do we need to do anything before our holiday?

Regards

I've attached the most recent list of requirements.  If both legal parents are travelling with the child, then only passport and unabridged birth certificate is needed.

Hi Chris, we are all permanent residents...our daughter is an Aussie citizen. We have her birth certificate and passport. Do you even get unabridged birth certificates in Australia?

thanks

regardless of where the parents are citizens of, the child is an australian citizen, is there still a requirement to carry a birth certificate?

That's a very good question.

It is a requirement for any minor travelling in/out of South Africa.
