zamunda
My mum is planning on visiting us sometime this year. She is an asthmatic. The BUPA visitor cover will treat her Asthma as a pre-existing and require a 12 month waiting period. This applies even if she is hospitalised. Which is crazy because she is only going to be here for three months. Anyone know a way around this? Thanks in advance for your replies. RYLC
What about getting a travel insurance policy from South Africa? You know the type we all get for a trip to say London where you buy and pay in RSA and it covers you overseas...
ChrisH
We used to just ask our South African medical aid for a certificate to state that we are covered. Discovery Health covers you for 90 days from the date of departure.
