I never formally changed my name after marriage. This means I never changed my ID or my passport to reflect my husband's name. When I went to apply for PCC the official at the police station said that because I have no proof of identification with my husbands name I couldn't apply for PC using my husbands name. So I applied with my name as it appears on my id. I received my police clearance certificate today. It states my surname as on my ID ie without my husbands name which is what i applied for but will this be an issue for the 190 visa application if home affairs has me listed with my husbands name?
