I have a diploma in Information Systems Internet Development obtained from CTI in 2008 and 8 years work experience as a software developer. I submitted my skills assessment to ACS last month who replied saying that my qualification does not meet their education requirements but they are inviting me to change my application to an RPL as I have sufficient work experience.
From my understanding, 8 years work experience will be deducted for my RPL (which ACS confirmed) but this leaves me with no points to claim for skilled employment in my EOI, and as they have said that my qualification is not recognised, I can't claim any points for that either. So what would be the point in going ahead with the RPL?
