ACS question regarding multiple qualifications

Hi everyone!

I have three qualifications:

N.Dip. Information Technology (CPUT, 1998)

B.Tech: Information Technology (CPUT, 2000)

B.Sc. Hons. Information Systems (UNISA, 2006)

If I submit all three qualifications ACS for a skills assessment, will each one be assessed individually in terms of providing a Skill Level Requirement Met Date in relation to my 12 years and 3 months of relevant work experience as a Software Engineer (ANZSCO 261313)? In other words, will I see a separate Skill Level Requirement Met Date for each qualification in the skills assessment report? Or does the ACS only look at the most recent qualification when providing an assessment? Because if the latter, I would need to drop the B.Sc. because I only completed that in 2007 and it will mean I won't get maximum points for work experience (I'm aiming for 15 points).

Can anybody comment on the ACS skills assessment process? I've asked them too, but they're not very clear or forthcoming. Basically want me to submit my stuff for a formal assessment and then "see what happens".

Thanks you guys!

I have just realized something... I will not be able to apply as a Software Engineer, because in the past 10 years I have been formally employed as a Systems Analyst (2 years) and Business Systems Analysist (4.5 years). All of my work experience as a Software Engineer before 2012 (which is 12+ years) will count for nothing, because they only look at your work experience over the 10 years immediately preceding the date they invite you to apply for a visa.

Is that correct? If yes, then bummer!

Well, look at this from a practical point of view... If you came out here, would you work in your nominated skill (software engineer) or would you look for a job involving another skill (systems analyst) ?

Also, there are a lot more jobs for a senior software developer... so it might be a good choice when you first arrive. In the Sydney CBD you could earn over 120k per year. But that's assuming you are a "full stack" developer... so you know fronted like HTML, CSS and back end like PHP, Node.JS and mysql/postgresql. Amazon Web Services, Docker, etc... are also hot topics. That's not a salary to sniff at...  most people earn less than $100 000.

Just go onto www.seek.com.au  filter for jobs paying over $120k and search for "Full Stack Developer" in sydney

Notice how 224 jobs were found?

A business analyst would pay around the same. But its easier to get promoted into a management job from a BA role than from a Senior Developer role. There are just way fewer BA roles.

Perhaps it might be worth taking a job as a senior developer back in RSA? And get a few of those keywords on your CV?  Also work on your https://www.hackerrank.com/ score... companies like to use it to do their candidate's technical tests.
