From the details currently available from the DIBP the current changes to age limits are expected. As of 1st July 2017 - 186/187 Direct Stream - maximum age will be < 45 As of 1st March 2018 - 186/187 Temporary Transitional Stream (will remain at 50 until March 2018) - maximum age will be < 45 No additional details about potential exemptions available yet. I've found this to be the most baffling about all the visa workings. Why tell people you are changing something, even 'effective immediately' but the details will get sorted later?
