I'm looking at applying for a visa (subclass 189) with nominated occupation of 'internal auditor'. I would like to hear from anyone who has applied for this option without a CA background. I have a science degree with experience in ISO systems (implementation and audit) but I'm not sure this will be accepted. I spent 1 year in an enterprise risk management role and am in an internal audit role for 3 months only.
My boyfriend has a similar problem - he has an engineering diploma with 7 years SHE internal audit experience.
We are both thinking of doing the first part of CIA (or CCSA) exams prior to getting qualifications assessed. Does anyone know If our qualifications will be accepted for the internal auditor role? We would love to hear from anyone with advice on our situation.
