190 VISA - One Way Ticket

PJB87

Question

Hi All

So we have been granted 190 Permanent Residency for QLD and have booked our 1 way tickets for June.

Can anyone advise if there are any tax or specific documents we need to take to the airport, other than VEVO and Visa grant forms, when traveling out of SA on a one way ticket?

We don't want to get to the airport and find we don't have the right stuff and not be allowed to board.

Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, you don't even need those forms on your person (I'd take just in case though).  The app myVEVO should confirm you're loaded already - this system is hit the minute you go through control in AUS.  But every pragmatic I will most likely keep copies of ALL documentation including AUS bank balance - just in-case we are stopped for questioning.

Someone could chime in on if they've had issues?

Take your visa grant forms. When we flew in January the airline asked to see proof of our visa before allowing us to check in for the flight. We did not need any docs on the Australian side.

Also download the myVEVO app. It is issued by the DIBP and you can easily verify your visa status and show the airline... You can even select an option to email the vosa details to whomever you want...
