Loesje Posted January 1, 2017 Report Share Posted January 1, 2017 We are considering Umina Beach as the suburb to settle in due to affordability, schools, churches, proximity to the beach, and access to public transport to Chatswood. We will really appreciate any advice, or experiences you have had in visiting Umina Beach. We are particularly interested to know if ex South Africans would recommend the area and if there are any concerns or issues relating to the area we should know of. As we drove out we talked about what a nightmare it must be to get from the homes, down the small winding roads, to the station in peak traffic on a regular morning in the term time. In recent years, lots of trades people from Sydney have moved up to the central coast, but their typical working hours in Sydney is 7am -3pm. They come in very early and leave after 3pm with the road full of tadie utes (bakkies).
