I submitted my EOI via SkillSelect on the 23rd December 2016. Next round of invitations are tomorrow, I'll let you know what happens.

As far as summary of experience, it was as expected. Register, Verify, Create EOI, populate data, submit.

The website is passable.

Is there something specific you're asking after? You should just go create your own profile and give it a test run, nothing is set in stone until you choose to submit your EOI.

I think that's pretty much everyone on the forum who's obtained a visa, to date. Those who used agents probably didn't do it themselves, but to the best of my knowledge they still get run through the same system, it works.

I did ours myself, two years ago, and the system worked fine for us. I have read of some people having specific issues, but I think they get sorted in the end. If I remember correctly then you can save and edit until you finally submit your expression of interest. Ask and agent, but I seem to remember that you can even update an expression of interest if, for example you redo the English test and get better results.
