Sub 60 point mark

Duke1989

Question

Hi all,

To be unsure about immigration is something I’m sure that all of us came across at one stage as this is probably the biggest step ever for most of us. I am in the process of getting my qualifications recognized etc. The next step would be EOI, as we all know this is money money money, so my question is simple and straight forward, what risks am I facing in launching the EOI with only 60 points? I went over the point system multiple times to see if I can’t scoop up 5 or 10 somewhere, but this is a dead end street… Any advice?

It depends on which occupation you are applying under and the quota attached to that occupation.

A state sponsored 190 visa costs a bit extra but gives you an extra 5 points which may be an option, but restricts you to residing in that state for 2 years.
