She's posted a couple of questions already so I felt it would only be polite to introduce us. We're looking to emigrate from SA to Oz around September barring any unforeseen things that crop up. We're going with our 2 small children so no doubt we'll have some work cut for us just reassuring the little ones. We have also already obtained our 189 visa through a very good emigration firm (not sure if I can give the name here per forum rules) and I'm going on a LSD trip to Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne next month. Lots of things to do but time seems to be flying. Good to be here and thanks already for lots of the posts we've already read. We are also due to move to Brisbane soon, with my husband ahead of us in July and me and the kids to follow around September. Just keep calm and throw some more stuff out... Hope you enjoy your trip and keep us posted on the city you think will be a fit for your family. WayneAndMel Posted May 12, 2016 Author Report Share Posted May 12, 2016 Thanks Dora and Claire We're also actually favouring Brisbane at this point with Melbourne coming second, but the LSD trip will help to make a proper judgement. It just seems to have elements and certain qualities of life that I like. I'm hopeful given that I've seen several European and North American cities in my past travels and the ones I liked seem to correspond a lot to Brisbane and Melbourne. Sydney is not to be sneezed at either but its property prices are frightening. It'll be good to keep track of each other's progress with our journeys to Brisbane (assuming of course initial impressions of the 3 LSD cities I'm visiting match those experienced in person ) 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Sassyninja Posted May 13, 2016 Report Share Posted May 13, 2016 Welcome WayneandMel, we have just come back from an activation/LSD trip in March and we have chosen to migrate to Melbourne Its a tough call between Brisbane and Melbourne - don't think you can go wrong with either though.
