Hoping you guys can assist. I have just been invited to apply for a 489 visa. A 189 visa is my first choice but according to my skills assessment I did not have enough experience to get the 85 points. I do have the experience but don't want to be rejected based on this technicality.
My question is this, has anyone with a 489 visa successfully applied for a Skilled-Regional (Residence) visa(subclass 887) after 2 years ? What was the process like?
Were there any downsides to not having PR from the get go?
