Can anyone please advise or suggest some courses I can do from South Africa to improve my chances of finding a job in Australia? Specifically tax and maybe something more applicable to Australia? BarryHeyns Posted January 4, 2016 Author Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 Thanks Mara Yes, but being so unfamiliar with their colleges and institutes which offer some courses I was hoping there is someone which has gone the same route. This would probably not even be needed but I would like to be as prepared as possible when and if the opportunity for employment arrives. Mara Posted January 4, 2016 Report Share Posted January 4, 2016 Hi Barry, just be patient with the Australian forum members, it is holiday month in Australia, the schools only start here towards the end of January, so a lot of people are on annual leave. When they return I am sure you will get your answer. If you have not had an answer by then, just post in this thread along the lines of "can anyone help?" That will bring it to the front again. You can start with the CTA1 Foundations course ( I will be doing this in March, and a friend did it whilst still living in Dubai ) The early bird registration closes 22/02/2016, for which you get $100 discount. Then normal enrollment closes 7/03/2016 and the course starts 14/03/2016. The exam is 13/06/2016 I wish that I was able to do this while I was still in SA, but work demands, and general other preparation for emigrating just sucked up all available time. Visit www.taxinstitute.com.au for more info. Also make sure you are sitting down while you read the course fees and translate them into ZAR......
