SalomeCilliers
Hai Can anyone give me advise please. I was just thinking about how i can help my husband in the first year to pay the bills.Because he wont earn that much in a gap year as far as i know. I was wondering would it be possible for me to clean houses to start with. And how much is it possible to make. Thanks S
AFreshStart
Sure, many people do, most here in Sydney charge $25+- an hour, which is better than you'll get being on the till in a commercial retailer and you get to pick your own hours. The work is hard, but I know a couple people that have done it. Cheers Matt

Settled
I also considered this because I was not sure I'd get a job in my industry. However, there are many people cleaning houses, it's hard work, the houses are not as clean as in in SA :-) There are lots of casual jobs to be found, restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets, retail stores...... A youngster would earn between $17-23 per hour at a local store.... (Depending on age) and can work up to a full time number of hours. So that gives you an idea of what is possible. Don't worry about it too much, when you're hear, you can look at the options around your area. http://www.wowcareers.com.au/ http://www.gumtree.com.au/ - look under jobs, hospitality https://www.colescareers.com.au J
Heather
Majority of them earn $30 an hour here on the Gold Coast and have a minimum of three hours, so you should be good, there is also a site called spot jobs, thats a good one too.
