Btw I forgot to mention that a good masala(mixed spices) to use for most curries is the Bombay Delite brand.Ask for it at the spice shop.

That sounds yum I will have to try it.

What cut of meat do suggest and do you prefer mutton to lamb?

I have not heard the word "dhania" since my Durban days it brings Back memories of mutton curry from the Isipingo Island Hotel.

Thanks for the recipe.

I prefer lamb as it cooks tender , especially pieces that have bones, which adds to the flavor. However if you do decide to use mutton which is tougher, I suggest ensuring that the meat is at least half way done before throwing in the potatoes.

Glad to share and bring back memories.Do enjoy.

I remember coming back from parties in Durbs to the Crystal Cafe and slatting one weapons grade bunny. The Indian owner would know the young blokes had ravenous appetites. He made both 1/4, 1/2 and FULL bunnies. If I remember it was R4 for a full bunny. He made it so hot you sobered up in no time. But bloody hell he could make a bunny worth dying for. I miss that fellow. And his legendary bunnies.

One other place that made killer bunnies was in my little home town of Mtuba, at the railroad station was a seedy cafe run by an Indian mate of mines dad. Oh man, he also introduced me to curry powder coated wedgies, and chilli powder coated pineapples. This guys bunnies (Leon was the sons name) were so good, I would hammer at least 2 at a time. I would smash a pair of these on the way home from school. Ahh, the good old days.
