We NEVER pay more than $10 per bottle at home, on principle. A friend recently brought over a bottle of wine he bought at Aldi, after we drank it and commented on it being good. He confessed its their Precious Earth range...........at $2.75 per bottle. We now drink that regularly, we like their Semillion/Sauvignon Blanc and the Merlot/Shiraz.

FWIW - I found most Chardonays in Perth to be pretty foul - what John Platter would have called "flinty". I suppose if you like that, then they may be bearable.
