FAS
Good day to all.I need some info regarding work for instrumentation mech's/tech's in Australia. Is the instrument mechanician trade excepted in Aus? Are there inst mechanicians out there that have gone through the process? Not on a sponsored visaThanks
RYLC
In general Australia doesn't use the "technician" category in engineering. You get an electrician and then an electrical engineer. I haven't seen jobs for technicians. My husband is an engineer so we are in the industry. Be careful on your cv with using the term technician because in Australia it is used for lower jobs such as nail technician for somebody who does artificial nails. Perhaps get some advice from cv writers or recruiters.Look at Seek.com.au and find the sort of jobs you would apply for and then see what title they have used. Also look on LinkedIn for what other people have called themselves.
