EmNew
Hi,We're starting to do some pre-activation/move over planning and thought digesting etc.......St Kilda and Elwood on face value look like relatively nice leafy suburbs with lots of low-rise apartment rental options, in good proximity to the CBD.Are there any thoughts on them in general as a suitable starting point for rental accommodation to be near CBD?We're two very quiet living professionals, that will be coming from a house set in large grounds within a km of farmland, where birdlife are the noisemakers of the area. We don't want to be near the party scene / within earshot of night clubs, or have the constant sound of a busy road right outside. Are there quiet pockets of these 2 areas? If possible can you give street names too, so that I can cross check them with apartment availability on my new best friend - realestate.com.auPlease also feel free to give suggestions to other areas not far from the CBD, close to public transport that you think will be a good choice for us. It will be an apartment rental initially for us.
HansaPlease
I'd probably give St Kilda a miss if you prefer quiet, but Elwood - that's more like it! Not cheap, but very nice, and close to everything.
