ABC123 Posted February 21, 2015 Report Share Posted February 21, 2015 We are planning on doing our validation trip at the end of June and we would like some advice on self-catering accommodation (with place for parking as we will be hiring a car). Ideally somewhere close to the beach although I know that June is probably not the best time of year to enjoy Adelaide's beaches. We would like to be within walking distance to a restaurant or easy access to shops. For those that have done this before, any advice on the do's and don'ts of exploring Adelaide with an 8 year old and a 6 year old will be much appreciated! We chose to stay at www.homesdownunder.com.au Tamara and Shaun are ex Saffers & extremely helpful as they experience newbies to Australia all the time. Robbie_P Posted February 24, 2015 Report Share Posted February 24, 2015 Hi,As you coming in June, i personally wouldn't limit myself to staying close to a beach... being central would be more important to me.When we arrived in Adelaide, we rented a fully furnished apartment in Norwood, which is a great area. You can pretty much walk to the city if you wanted and its very well know for its bars, restaurants and coffee shops which are located on the Norwood parade.
