Riekie
Just saw this article about a mother who moved to Mackay, QLD to enroll her autistic child in the district special school. Within 2 weeks, he started to communicate with picture exchange whereas previously his only form of communication was screaming and hitting. A very encouraging story.http://www.abc.net.au/local/stories/2015/01/28/4169739.htmI know there are several effective methods of helping autistic children but most of them are so expensive that families give up everything to afford it. Many families cannot afford it and they get very little or no financial aid from government to keep their kids in these programs. Thought I'd share this - maybe someone out there could benefit from it.
