ADSL in Melbourne

Recommended Posts

I am probably putting the cart before the horse here, considering we only received our 189 invite yesterday and have yet to actually submit the application......

but one of the important things that needs to be considered by us when choosing a suburb in Melbourne will be a good ADSL connection.

I have read some posts that mention connectivity is limited in certain outlying regions, especially in the Western suburbs. Can anyone perhaps point us to a good website that shows the regions, with speeds / type of connections available? I have tried to find something on google, but I also don't know exactly who the main players as service providers are to really get a full picture of where you get good stable connections with reasonable speeds vs limited.

Many thanks

( Any Steam account holders/MMO players out there will surely be able to provide an good answer to my husbands no. one criteria ;) )

You know how tempting it is to post that Melbourne doesn't have ADSL and that you'll have to choose a dial up carrier #WelcomeToFirstWorldProblems :)

You can check out this map to see what coverage will be available in certain areas:

and
