GoldCoastGal
Hi allI'm going to be in Adelaide for the Rolling Stones concert, arriving 24 October flying back to the GC 26 October.I've left booking accommodation VERY late, and it's all very pricey!I'm hoping the locals will have some suggestions for me?Do you know of an 'off the map' b&b (or similar) which doesn't charge the earth?I'd be happy to stay 'away' from Adelaide Oval (concert venue) if it would be easy to get public transport to and from the venue. It's only me, myself and I coming down, so I don't need anything fancy - convenience and access to public transport s key! And, having never been to this neck of the woods before - what are the 'must sees'? I have a bit of time on my hands so I'd like to do as much as possible. Thanks!
zamunda
HiTry http://www.heidisbedandbreakfast.com It is a great B&B run by a retired couple. We stayed here during our LSD trip and also when we permanently moved over. About 15 minutes from the oval.
Bronwyn&Co
Goldcoastgal have you looked at lastminute.com? Hopefully you'll grab a bargain. If you get time, Hahndorf is quite pretty, or see if you can join a wine tasting tour of the Barossa. Alternatively Glenelg is fun on a sunny weekend.
