delboy2oz
Good Morning All, 1st - winter and rain be gone, enough already! A question please, does it matter if the duration of your stay is on different visas? I.e. I was here for 10 months on a 457 before changing to 189. Does my citizenship only become attainable 4 years after PR or 4 years of being lawfully in Australia? Many Thanks,
SurferMan
Hi, You can see the latest rules on Immi.gov.au. But in a nutshell you need to be here 4 years on any valid visa, with 1 year of that on PR. So you can get PR now, and citizenship in another 3 years 2 months.
